BudgetBeam is an independent, advertising-supported website. Households search for budget calculators every month, yet many tools bury the arithmetic behind paywalls or upsells. We build transparent browserside calculators and sourced guides so you can split income, track categories and convert paychecks into a monthly plan — then decide for yourself. We do not sell banking products or give personalised financial advice.

What we publish

A 50/30/20 budget splitter with custom percentages, a zero-based budget worksheet, a savings-rate calculator, a paycheck-to-monthly converter, and guides covering needs vs wants, irregular income, sinking funds and common budget mistakes.

How we research

We cite the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Consumer.gov and BLS CPI pages where inflation context appears. Keyword demand notes in the README cite KeywordSpy and third-party SEO estimates. We never invent bank offers or “guaranteed” savings claims. Every figure that comes from a third party is linked at the bottom of the page where it is used, and every page shows when it was last reviewed. If a carrier, retailer or organisation changes its published information, the official source wins over anything on this site.

All calculators run in your browser. Income and expense figures you type are not sent to our servers.

How we make money

BudgetBeam shows advertising (Google AdSense) and does not accept payment from insurers, brokers, banks or any company in exchange for coverage in our guides. We do not sell leads, and we do not sell or recommend any specific insurance policy or financial product.
